The Max-Liebermann-Gesellschaft Berlin e.V. (MLG - Max Liebermann Society)
The Max-Liebermann-Gesellschaft Berlin e.V. (Max Liebermann Society) was founded in 1995 and now has over 1200 members. It is responsible for the Liebermann Villa at Wannsee and directs its efforts mainly toward the running and maintenance of this facility. Since February 2000 the Society has been aided by an academic advisory council consisting of noted historians, art historians and museum curators from Germany and other countries. Further endeavors of the Society include:
- the collection of Liebermann’s works as well as documents and books by and about the artist
- documentation of the history of the Liebermann Villa at Wannsee
- the investigation of Max Liebermann’s life and work and the dissemination of this research through exhibitions, special events and publications
Because the MLG is financed primarily from private funds, we urge you to become involved in our project and to support it. Take part in sustaining this museum oasis unique in Berlin. There are many ways to support the work of the Max-Liebermann-Gesellschaft:
- Become a member of the Max-Liebermann-Gesellschaft
- Become a donor or patron of the Liebermann Villa
- Support us through volunteer work, sponsorship of individual trees, garden furniture, flower beds, rooms or special areas of the garden, by monetary donations or contributions in kind, by promoting the Villa among your friends
We would be happy to set up a personal meeting to discuss your wishes and ideas about participating in the preservation of this one-of-a-kind jewel.
